Are several books that need to be read. Please reach out and find the following:
The Vegetable Gardeners Bible by Edaward C Smith, The Heirloom Life Gardener by Jere & Emilee Gettle, And most important; Seed to Seed by Suzanne Ashworth.
To answer the Op I would contact Baker Creek Farms. Susan and I visited their place( Mansfield, MO) last May and it was wonderful. There are now over 1500 rare seeds in the seed store. We walked away with over $403.00 in seed and could not believe it. In addition we visited the Apothacary and got a couple or recipies for a balm for topical pain. It works great.
I spent time with the Head Biologist that checks and test all seed brought to Baker Creek. He taught me some of the do's and dont's of recouping seed. His advice was the book seed to seed. He told me he lives by this book. Looking into his eyes gave me the trust to encourage others to buy this book. After the trip I have returned home to start reading it again. I forgot I had it when I started planting years ago.
