Many of you claim to be libertarians, yet you think in absolutes. "All cops are thugs." "No cops are heroes."
You want the rights of everyone to be upheld, but not cops basic right to self defense?
I'm sure you want law enforcement, but I've heard many say I don't need the police, never have, never will, "I am the police". Besides that they are, as a unified force a deterrent, they are professionally trained. Most couldn't pull off the things they do, even if they are great marksman. Most couldn't pull off what they did here.
I'm hearing hate and prejudice for one group of individuals.
Even if they get PTSD from their duty, they take on that burden. It's not a present, a gift...Maybe we should talk about taking them out of service once signs of PTSD is evident, but calling names and labeling an entire group is not a libertarian principle. It displays the level of maturity of the individual making these assumptions and being bold enough vocalize their prejudice. It's certainly not a christian principle, and it's not realistic to say that we don't need them.
I can't believe I'm saying this to many in this community...but...
