I'd ask McDonald. It is his place, after all. I think the right thing to do in this situation would be to respect private property.

After all, if you walked into the Daily Paul and lit up a cigarette, I wouldn't be too happy about it. (I might be tempted to ask you for a toke, and that wouldn't be good for me.)

And while it might be entertaining for you, it would be pretty annoying for the employees, both at McDonald's joint and this place.

To be mean is never excusable, but there is some merit in knowing that one is; the most irreparable of vices is to do evil out of stupidity. - C.B.
