I disagree

Machines wear out and break down. They need to continually be replaced or repaired. Someone needs to design improvements. Someone needs to prospect for new raw materials. Also, we will start colonizing the oceans. Think of all the work that will go into that.

No, there will always be work to be done. It is just the nature of the work that will change.

Think of it in terms of Austrian economics. To eliminate work, you would have to eliminate scarcity. What kind of a world would that imply? A world where all your wishes are instantly granted. I don't see that happening any time soon.
