Don't "turn the other cheek"

"The thugz will go to areas where there is less of a threat of being harmed during their violation of property rights."

When I was a child, my folks taught me the Bible lesson, "turn the other cheek". I then ended up getting hit not just once, but twice.

It wasn't until the 8th grade that I decided to fight back. And, wonder of wonders, when I started fighting back, the bullies became my FRIENDS!

This did not make sense to me at all.

It does now: a bully is a coward. Bullies want to be seen as confident, but they're really only full of bravado. One doesn't need to "win" against a bully; one only needs to harm him. Next time, the bully will choose a softer target. And might invite you to the next party.

Weird lesson, but it's the truth: when attacked, hit back. Don't hit first.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. - Fully Informed Jury Association - Jin Shin Jyutsu (energy healing)
