Don't be ridiculous.

Don't be ridiculous. Documentaries (the most memorable ones) are typically made on small budgets. The better ones anyway. These guys just couldn't put it together because they're just not good filmmakers. With no history or research being presented, we're left with endless interview subjects philosophizing in front of cameras, juxtaposed with silly stock footage filler of kids sitting in front of a TV, marching soldiers, people shopping at supermarkets, watching sports, etc.

I get the philosophy and I generally agree with all of it. But it's hardly compelling filmmaking.
