True worship is centered around Love, not being merely duty-bound.

I guess here's a similar question, though:

Is it our patriotic duty to become independent and self-reliant (i.e. preparedness, less reliant on the grid, etc.)?

Many would argue that the people being better able to take care of themselves is patriotic, because it strengthens the nation and aids in safeguarding Liberty. (Of course, we wouldn't argue that therefore everyone should be forced to be prepared, store food and water, grow a garden, etc.)

If it really is true that spiritual revival through worship of God (out of sincere Love) transforms the character of the People and improves and strengthens their Love of neighbor/enemies, could that not be considered patriotic in the same sense as contributing to the self-reliance of the People would be 'patriotic'?
