Yeah, I don't buy the spiteful god thing either. It's completely contradictory to what this guy named Jesus was all about. He was a man who told all those who could hear him (not just listen) that they too can do all he can do and more. That the "kingdom of God" is within all people. He also taught Unconditional Love which means to be in a state of Love regardless of the condition. He taught practical applications which have been retaught over and over again since then and much of it is present in what is now called "New Age" which isn't new at all.
