The Georgist "single tax" has

The Georgist "single tax" has been thoroughly refuted by many an economic author. Not only does the plan posit unrealistic assumptions, but it would still be retarded even if the assumptions were true.

Rothbard collected quite a few of these refutations and included them in his treatise, "Man, Economy, and State", starting on page 1196. (pdf page 1261)

If you're interested in specific tax schemes, why not read the whole chapter, so you can see what others have already tried, along with the flaws in their schemes.
