Not that your argument isn't valid, but the "flat Earth" myth is just that. Ancient civilizations well understood they wouldn't "fall off the edge" if they traveled toward the horizon.

Please don't rely on modern myths as the basis of a rational argument.

I have the same issue with the frog not jumping out of a boiling pot of water myth. Also debunked.
