Update to story:

This story is from February 2013. In March, a Court of Appeals put a *slight* limitation on the DHS & Customs searches of electronic gadgets & laptops. Story here. They can still browse through your electronic gadgets at the border, but to do a "forensic" search of your encrypted and/or deleted files, they have to show "reasonable suspicion." Big whoop. Thank God for all those "checks and balances" in the Constitution that are going to protect our rights, any day now.
