One of my favorite games

The Random Word Game

Learned it from some kids on the bus...when the junior high band would travel. The guy who started it was a "gifted" kid...and he really was a clever kid.

With a group of people 2-8+ just go clockwise calling out a random word in a stream of consciousness manner. There are no rules of first letter or associations. Try to remember other people's words. When you repeat a word you are out.

Young kids love this game - the real pleasure of the game is the jarring shift of associations one gets. "Sandwich" followed by "toggle."
You'll be amazed at how hard it is to think of "random" words. Anyone who starts just saying numbers you promptly slap...that's not the point.
