Thank you for the compliment, but I don't think I'll deserve an acknowledgment alike for if only a 1/1000th of Bastiat's fame and his accomplishment, ever.
As for the french culture, sadly, today makes for a tiny remnant of it left, which has been in a miserable survival mode for long already. A real pity.
But true, Bastiat believed with passion in what America had been founded upon. And I think America is now in dire need to remember and honor his wisdom, and Thoreau's, and others', her turn.
For her own survival's sake.
