Well, have to agree with NJ on this

I agree that "conversion therapy" on children is abusive, and I think subject to state law. It is not part of parenting, and can cause serious damage. Once people are 18 then the therapy is a choice. If parents are cruel enough to want to do this, then they should study and do it themselves.

Being a "licensed therapist" means you paid a fee and got a piece of paper, it doesn't mean you know what you are doing.

All that said, I will need to read more to make sure that parents and/or groups of parents are not prevented from doing it, and as long as they don't make money. The sad part, just like psychics and faith-healers, is wanna-be psychiatrist hacks make money doing this crap.
