Police Orders

So let me get this straight, the officer thinks that he can just order anybody to do anything? Last time I checked, the order has to be backed by law, and the officer failed to cite any law when asked.

I think the protester should file criminal charges against the officer. What if the officer had ordered protesters to jump in front of a moving car? What if the officer had ordered protesters to hand over all their cash? Unlawful orders violate the public trust, and do not carry the authority or protection of the law. This means the officer acted on his own, he committed a felony assault, and he unlawfully arrested a peaceful, law-abiding citizen.

I used to be a big supporter of law-enforcement, nowadays I strain to understand why we need them at all.
