As I have pointed out to you on several occasions the Assad government has always protected the religious minorities and sought successfully to maintain sectarian peace. The West, including Israel, has deliberately undermined Assad over the years and fostered sectarian strife in the well known strategy of divide and conquer.
Making Assad out to be a bloodthirsty dictator has always been part of this strategy just as they demonised Saddam Hussein, the Taliban, Mubarak and Qadhafe amongst others, in order to sway public opinion to get behind their aggressive wars to effect regime change and put their puppets in power. You surely must realise by now that Bush and Obama have been even more bloodthirsty dictators than any of the above and have killed millions of innocents in other nations as well as their own citizens.
You refuse to accept this version of events for reasons that are linked I believe to your love for Israel. Here is an excerpt from the AP article in the OP that supports what I have been saying which is backed up by many other reports:
"The attack highlights fears among Syrian Christians that the alternative to Assad's regime - which is made up mostly of Alawites, followers of an offshoot of Shiite Islam - would not tolerate minority religions.
Such concerns have helped Assad retain the support of large chunks of Syria's minority communities, including Christians, Alawites, Druze and ethnic Kurds. Most of the rebels and their supporters are Sunni Muslims."
The last sentence is something I have meant to tell you but now you know and must realise that no Sunni jihadists would work for Assad who is an Alawite Shia Muslim. You have clearly said on a number of occasions that Assad has brought the jihadists into Syria to kill the Christians. These are the kinds of opinions that are completely untenable and have no foundation in any reports from any source other than yourself.
"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)
