He didn't actually say "give me your weapons in a week or we'll attack." He was responding to a question about what Syria could do to avoid an attack. A small difference but a difference nonetheless. It does illustrate however the absurdity of campaigning for weeks on end to launch missiles into this other country, and it makes it clear that no matter what other solutions are offered, Kerry just wants to have those missiles launched. Why? Ego? Who knows.
