No one can live without

No one can live without possessions. This concern about what other people care about bothers me, and strikes me as toublingly anti-liberty.

Not just anti-materialism, anti-theism, anti-atheism, anti-anything. This whole tendency to be very concerned about how other people live or don't live their lives when it has exactly no impact on them.

To paraphrase Mencken, Progressivism is the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be doing their own thing.
