The reason present-day phones

The reason present-day phones are so compact is the very tight integration of the hardware. "Bloks" would make phones very heavy and bulky by comparison. Now, instead of one lightweight enclosure for all of the components, you have each component with its own enclosure. In a very small device, that's a large percentage of the bulk. Also, it is silly to think that a few giant pins on the back of each block will fulfill the bandwidth and latency requirements of a compact computing device. Do they really think they can connect a CPU/GPU to the storage, display, camera, etc with 16 giant pins on the back of the "speed blok"?
