Exceptionally hypocritical?

I'm glad I wasn't tasked with writing a response to Putin in the context of preserving my public popularity.

The FOUNDATION of this country was - and is still, I believe - QUITE exceptional. Consider that it was conceived in a REAL revolution, so the Founders and early leaders were all REAL revolutionaries. And then consider that upon winning the revolution they didn't proceed to do what pretty well all revolutionaries throughout history had done: establish themselves as despots. Consider that, instead, they had the grace to let go of the reigns of rule-by-man and take a leap of great vision to rule-by-law where the law MOSTLY governed (aka restricted the liberty of) the GOVERNMENT rather than the people. That is an amazing, amazing thing ... and amazing FACT about our country's foundation which is quite exceptional.

UNfortunately, having such an exceptional foundation requires exceptional integrity or you paint yourself exceptionally hypocritical.

And that, sadly, is the place we are today. While most of the rest of the world has been reaching UP toward our example for some time we have been debasing ourselves toward corruption at a stunning speed. We have almost completely replaced our "rule by law" with rule by men. If you are friends with "the man", and particularly if you are friends with our Criminal in Chief, nobody can or will touch you.

Now, of course, that is true in Russia, also. In Russia, also, it is really rule by man ... rule by dictator or rule by oligarchy. But Russia as a whole and Putin in particular are, in fact, displaying a higher level of integrity than our nation and our dicatator/oligarchy. How can that be? Simple: Putin doesn't REALLY pretend to be anything other than emperor and the Russian people, at least the middle class and above, have absolutely NO self-delusion about living in "the land of the free" or under a rule by law. The people know they live under a thuggery and they don't waste a lot of time deluding themselves or "voting".

But in the US we have the worse of all worlds. We have a black man with a black heart even as we previously had a white man with a black heart. And the circus of "democracy" has the vast majority of people who reside here completely enraptured in their own little trance of being "exceptional".

Well maybe the American people are exceptional ... exceptionally low in moral character, courage, and ability to discern a con job.

Bill of Rights /Amendment X: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Do you need a politician or judge to "interpret" those 28
