The restrictions on

The restrictions on unlicensed FM are much greater than unlicensed AM broadcasting. This subject is quite technical so prepare to educate yourself a bit. Start at www.part15.us . Don't let some of the progressive hams bug you, though. I just ignore their political psychobabble. ;)

Personally, I use Radio Systems' I AM Radio transmitter and ATU. See www.iamradio.net for more information, but check www.part15.us before you decide. Study as it's quite difficult to acquire decent range with listenable audio on only 100 mW of power!

Next, I'd recommend investigating local mesh networks. Currently, one of the easier mesh networks to deploy is called Byzantium. See www.project-byzantium.org for more information.

Unfortunately, I'm not in Georgia or I could help Derrick's campaign in tangible ways. If only a few patriots in every town were doing likewise with LPAM stations and mesh networks...
