In Oregon, they vote to get rid of the helmet law when Kitzhaber is in office (er doctor) knowing he will veto it. Then when someone else is in office they won't vote on it....knowing they might actually sign it. Politicians often do things to put on a show for their constituents when it is safe to do so.
Have they actually talked about a way to bring down health care costs? Like get rid of insurance companies perhaps? encourage competition from abroad? just curious.
