Chioces make the man

I believe in each person there exists many natures, some are baser, and others more divine. We are blessed by our Creator with the free will to chart the path we wish with the choices we make every single day. Absolutely nothing can force someone who is truly free to perform an action that conflicts with their conscience, we choose to obey. I think the majority of people in this country at present look only to their own immediate safety and comfort while denying the cost. This is a base instinct that forgoes the use of noble reason and is more the action of an animal than a man. We can blame all the powers of Earth for forcing these choices upon us, but the final decision lies only with the individual. I think this only gets better when people decide that what is right becomes more important than what is convenient. History shows that virtuous behavior is rarely rewarded. Maybe someday in a culture that values virtue over excess, but that ain't us yet. So powerful men with dark ambition will continue to wave excess before us, and we gleefully comply like Pavlov's pooch.

I have always thought the actions of men the best interpreters of their thoughts.
