It's a wonder that the French can ever communicate without misunderstanding.

For instance, the sentences "Il faut des armées" and "Il faut désarmer" are pronounced the same, although the former means "We need armies" and the latter means "We must disarm".

And no. I'm not kidding.

Just a weird linguistic fact.
