Think how the people of Atlanta must have felt as the Union troops burned their city to the ground.
...Or the Cambodian's under Pol Pot.
...Or the Chinese under Mao Tse Tung
...Or a thousand other examples.
"When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it--always." — Mahatma Gandhi
It is the inevitable ebb and flow of history.
"The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that." — Alan Greenspan
