This is the recurring, most famous theme of Bastiat, of course:

the just Law seen as being Justice, AND *ONLY* Justice.

As opposed to:

The unjust Law, the Law Perverted - the Law which has become (tainted into) centralized planning and management, to serve whichever arbitrary collectivist doctrine.

The more abstract and arbitrary the latter, the more infamous Legal Plunder, spreading like cancer.

Or also:

Principles to protect the rights of the individual

Vs.

Agendas to serve special collective interests.

Indeed, America has been forced to start losing her way in 1913.
