Corn is a grass

Technically speaking. Corn gets a bad rap. If it weren't for Narragansett Indian flint corn, the pilgrims would have died out. Now you can't even find good flint corn. It's all hybrid, GMO, tasteless dent corn now, bred to feed livestock and to grow in densely planted monocultures with huge amounts of chemical fertilizers. This is what is ground up and sold as cornmeal. Yuck! We need to reclaim our corn heritage.
