...is the inclusivist Christian view, which acknowledges that not all who in fact are on the path of faith that leads through the Way, Truth and Life to God, understand the technical details of that Way. Abraham didn't know all the specifics of the Gospel, yet his leaving Ur on faith was on that path of heart response, and was 'counted as righteousness.' The thief on the cross had no time to contemplate the fine points of the nature of God and whether Adam had a belly button -- his heart response was on the path, and that day he would 'be in Paradise.'

This is different than the pluralist view which denies there is any one Way, Truth and Life, though, that all paths of faith must cross to reach God.
