Some yes but how many times do you read stories where good police officers arrest their own or turn their own in for excessive force, misconduct, etc.? I read through police logs all the time and don't remember ever reading one. I am sure there are plenty of good police officers but the ones that choose to keep their mouths shut when witnessing one of their own commit a crime are not "good" after all, actually no better than the one committing the crime. Their silence is the reason why this kind of shit happens all the time as the thugs know there will be no repercussions for their illegal actions. Too many are more concerned about what will happen to their career, family, and lives if they choose to cross the "blue line" by turning in one of their own. Those who choose not to cross that line should be prosecuted the same as those committing the crimes.
