My first Dylan acquisition was Infidels. My sister gave it to me for Christmas in '81, I think. I think she got it from the Columbia Record Club - remember them! 12 records for a penny. Only buy 12 more at double regular prices!

I've never heard this version, and I'll take a good listen, but this song is definitely is an all time favorite.

It is one of his epic poems, that I would rank up with Desolation Row, The Ballad of Frankee Lee and Judas Priest, and Jokerman, which was on Infidels. I used to kill entire afternoons watching MTV after school, waiting for Jokerman to come on.

These days you can just dial it up on YouTube and watch it as many times as you want:
