You are right, there was only one work in England that talked about a flat earth. But it was describing an Egyptian work thinking it was flat. Then the Catholics took this and spun it into a rumor that the Anglican church believed the earth was flat when in reality they did not.

Did you read the bonus facts at the bottom about Zheng He ? Apparently he may have reached both east and west coasts of north america between 1405 and 1433 with ships 400 ft long and having nine masts, Long before Columbus. I love history and glad I was wrong!, Thanks man!
