Here's my point

At no time did he mention Republicans. So, why ask a question assuming a fact that was never discussed?

For instance, what if I asked you this: "Do you like Ron Paul because of the racist newsletters he wrote?" - Instead I could have just asked "Why do you like Ron Paul?"

I've heard this bullshit so much - replace the phrase "he's a Republican" with any passive-aggressive insult you want. I've seen them all.

"You don't like Rand because you're a neo-con"
"You don't like Rand because you're a liberal"
"You don't like Rand because you're too stubborn to compromise"
"You don't like Rand because HE'S A REPUBLICAN"
