I will always respect your right to believe whatever you choose to be convinced of, or even to never be convinced of anything.

I will fight for your right of free conscience.

I also love your signature line: "If my need to be RIGHT is greater then my desire for TRUTH, then I will not recognize it when it arrives."
That is so often true!

BTW, the spelling of the first "then" should be "than".
A helpful rule: use "thAn when denoting a compArison or AlternAte; use thEn when denoting timing as in whEn.
Example: Bill fell and cut his knee; thEn, rather thAn bleed all over, he bandaged his knee.
