Life is empty and meaningless

And it is empty and meaningless that it is empty and meaningless.

You are free to fill it with what you want, what is of value to you.

That is the kind of optimism I find in nihilism. I think we're on the same page there.

Whatever path you take, it's a good path. It's your path. And once you fall in love with your chosen path, or many paths, for there does not have to be just one, you will realize that other people feel the same way about theirs.

My first exposure to any of these ideas was as a green 19-year old, from this book:

To a straight-laced, toe-the-line, logic-oriented, solid-A good-student, that book was a revolution. It set off little explosions in my mind that got bigger and bigger!

I also like this quote from Osho, that telepathic introduced me to yesterday:

"I am not a philosopher, I am not a systematizer; I am absolutely anarchistic, as anarchistic as life itself. I don't believe in systems. I am a nonsystematic, anarchistic flow; I am not even a person, just a process. I don't know what I said to you yesterday, and the person who said it is not here to answer; he is gone. I am here, and I am answerable only for this moment. So don't wait for tomorrow because I will not be here. And who is going to make consistency, who is going to find a thread that is not contradictory? There is nobody. And I would like you to be the same."

Thank you.
