It fed media something other than their scandals and crimes

As bad as media-elites tried to make us all feel about the loss of federal participation in as many aspects of our daily lives as they could enumerate; what I believe happened, by many more than they wanted, was the wake-up to just what feds are willing to do when pulling a stunt like this.

It was far easier for both parties to shut down 17% of the fed's over-reached power, and pose as savior's when they return, than deal with what ought to be the consequences for the administration's direct participation in Benghazi, Fast and Furious, IRS targeted persecutions, Obamacare website's utter failure to launch, and SO much more!

Perhaps the outcome of this drama may put some media heat on so-called Tea-Party rouges, but I believe that when the dust settles a bit, this blame-shifting ploy may blow back on others, in both parties, less principled than they.

Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them. - Frederick Douglass
