I agree with your point, but

I agree with your point, but not the others who responded. I'm very much against the "Monsanto protection act" and anything that gives people "ownership" or copyrights to a genome. Maybe giving someone the exclusive rights to use that new patent, but the expiry date on it should be very short lived (like say 5 years max). But GMO foods themselves are not dangerous for anyones health. In fact, there are plenty of studies that show GMO foods could be better for you because they use less pesticides when growing (Albiet "synthetic" pesticides...)
