That's difficult to measure on account

of the fact we have different opinions. Along with posts on politics or current events, I love the nightly jam session. I usually check out humour posts. I'm a total sucker for those on animals. (Did you see the elephant & dog friends or cats stealing dog beds?) Because of members who left, I miss those posts related to science and math, or unexplained phenomena, or phenomena that *has* an explanation, just not in line with current thinking. I recently (even) defended the sports thread. But, there are those who consider all the above out of place and a waste of time. In other words, we don't all agree as to what is, or is not, of substance. So, if we can't even delineate *that* for sure, then there is no possible way to determine what a mole would be, and therefore no way to determine mass.

"Throughout this course, we will use the term "molecular weight" to refer to the mass of a mole of a substance."

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.
