loved it!

I butchered my first hog in 1978.. it was something I'll never forget.
Her name was Daisy.. (don't ever 'name' your hog.. fyi)
Anyway.. we managed it (pre internet) and froze MUCH meat.
Our 'experiment' with a smokehouse... turned into a disaster though..
built it out of (free) cull wood from the local lumber mill..
and
the whole thing went up in a giant inferno with some of our best
cuts... NO bacon that winter.
We were grateful however for Daisy... and she fed us well.
