This ain't the 70's anymore. We need time to 'blog' so we can't spend all our time shoveling snow.

But seriously. One of my concerns in today's culture is security. This robot is similar to something being worked on here at Carnegie Mellon University.

It can be used to run security rounds on 1,200 acres of perimeter in all kinds of weather.
Every farmer I know is always trying to prepare for a lack of labor help. They centralize feed etc so in the event they lose help they can still manage the core operation -- especially in the event of a storm. The show must go on.
Robots can be a big help.
