Comment: Your very first statement

Your very first statement

Your very first statement proves what I said about the many translations.
Your view is that of what many unbelievers say as to why they will not read or trust the Bible!

Satan is doing his job well.

I myself, am not a very learned man, and yet I have never had trouble reading nor understanding the King James Authorized version but have memorized a great many verses mostly because I have spent much time reading but ALSO because of the simplicity of how it is written!

We must also PRAY for wisdom and understanding of His Word as we read it!

"Open Thou mine eyes that I might behold wonderous things out of Thy law"

You go get yourself a Bible and start reading it!

No excuses here brother!

I too respect your faith, but brother, you'd better get a real Bible, a King James Authorized or a Geneva are the very best translations. At worst there are a couple of words that could have been better translated, but nothing so far off that the meaning of those couple of words was lost.

Your arguments, sadly are the very arguments that athiests and unbelievers use to say that there is no accurate translations or too many translations, blah blah blah and so they find solace in thinking that if and when they face Almighty God, they will have THAT as their excuse for not reading and therefore for not believing, but they will be without excuse and perish in all their sins.

That is the truth of this matter.

God gave us His Word to read, study and to live by.

"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God"

Did you have any trouble understanding that?

What a person thinks of God's Word, is what they think of God Himself!

You'd better get a Bible and start reading it and get fed and guided because your understanding, even though it is most sincere, it terribly flawed with untruths.

When you say that God is not willing that ANY should perish ( spoken of in 2 Peter 3) it is saying that God is not willing that ANY of His chosed whom Christ died for will perish, and of course they will not because He will save all His people before they come to their lifes end.

The Word of God is VERY clear that the majority of people from the beginning of time to the end of time will die in their sins and only a remnant will be saved. They are lost and without Christ!

Remember...."Broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there are that be thereon, and narrow is the way that leadeth to life and few there be that find it"

That is VERY CLEAR and concise and spoken of again and again in the Bible.

In just two examples ( there are a great many examples ) Jesus said, "All that the Father giveth me will come to me, and whosoever cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out"

"No man can come to me UNLESS the Father which sent Me draweth him"

Do you see the truth there? All that the Father GIVETH Christ, will come to Him! Not maybe, but WILL COME TO HIM, and only because it was God's good pleasure to do so and so He drew them to believe on His Son Jesus the Savior.

ALL His elect...NOT ALL mankind!

Jesus came to pay for the sins of His people! NOT ALL MANKIND, but His people!

You can read about that in Matthew 1:21 and many other places!

Salvation is ALL God's work and ALL God's will fully accomplished in His time according to His perfect will and purpose.

God's will is ALWAYS accomplished and never frustrated or denied...EVER!

Start reading and pray for wisdom in this most important matter for without the very living Word of God, you have no foundation for God's truth and Person, and will, other than your feelings which are sinful and flawed like everyone elses including me.
