Their "comfort zone" is limited to a single planet in a very big

universe. It could very easily be that life based on our DNA could be widespread throughout the universe, we just don't know. One of the problems I have with the evolution/natural selection theory is the limited time involved, if you add the additional time available on a galaxy or universe scale, the odds increase dramatically. We know very basic life forms could travel in comets and we know with technology, advanced life can travel from planet to planet. We also know life will spread given the possibility of it to do so, as an example, we are now planning to build a base on Mars! So I prefer to keep an open mind.
