In fact, some argue that all the religious infighting among various Christian denominations in the American colonies is what led the founders to declare individual liberty as the common sacred ground that would allow people with different religious beliefs to live among each other. When people stop fighting to keep Liberty sacred, history teaches that its only a matter of time before one religious system takes over, merges with the state, and kills off all those who refuse to convert.
