…did the big city disappear due to cataclysm and did its survivors lose all "specialist" knowledge in generational attrition only to revert to hunter gatherers and have to "start over" yet again? In the event of a world wide cataclysmic "culling" that destroys the majority of the human population, and with it, modern technology and the understanding and ability to reconstruct it…

Can you drill for oil and make gasoline? Can you build microchips? Can you make a tricycle out of iron ore or even identify iron ore if you saw it in the "wild"? Can you plow a field without technological power? How about with access to a beast of burden? Can you weave fiberglas from sand? Can you make glass? Do you personally know anyone who can? What would you do if, tomorrow, you could only find 1000 survivors of a mega-catastrophy? How long do you think gasoline lasts? Canned Food? Steel? Concrete Structures?

What might the world be like in 500 years following such an event? 1000 years? 10,000 years? 50,000 Years? What if it is re-occurring and celestial in origin? What did Dwarka look like when it was on dry land?

What happened here and seemingly everywhere else on Earth and most specifically…when? South America holds far more questions than answers…but hey…
