She is called mitochondrial eve.

Your DNA comes from two places within the cell. One is the nucleus and the other is your mitochondria. Sperm have no mitochondria, so everybody gets their mitochondrial dna from their mother because the egg cell has mitochondria. Using markers, researchers can find where and when a common ancestor of living peoples came from.
