I like that analogy

I like to draw the analogy that when the internet and email first were invented they were extremely complicated and hard to explain to the non-invested consumer.

Many, many years ago I was using UUCP for email. At the beginning you would have to not only know what machine and user name you were sending to, you'd have to figure out how to get from your machine to their machine and write out the entire path that looked something like this:
utzoo!decvax!harpo!eagle!mhtsa!ihnss!ihuxp!ddw

UUCP is long gone, but the popularity and utility of it and other early email protocols led to competition to produce better solutions, and email evolved into something that's much more powerful and much easier to use.

Popularity and competition will lead to better solutions in digital currency just as surely, and digital currency will evolve into things that are much more powerful and much easier to use, too.
