From an officer

Individual officers don't care if other agencies have gone overboard with their tactics. We have no control over that.

Police don't buy into the concept of non-violent offenders or victim-less crimes. An offense is an offense.

Police don't care if you don't like the law.

Police don't get their feeling hurt when you compare them to police states that killed millions of people.

And finally...

Police don't care about the wildly inaccurate perceptions people have about them.

Saying that it is up to the Police to ignore the law, when society is electing the official who make it, is un-american. What if I go watch a youtube video that complains about the justice system being too slow, and that police should be taking matters into their own hands? Should I follow that advice as well?
