laws are not always right

"One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws."

Laws are subservient to the Constitution if a law violates the constitution you have an obligation to ignore it or you have broken your oath.

Saying "I was just following orders" is not an excuse.

"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty."
