A clock tells time perfectly, but if the batteries die, does the clock not really tell time or work? No, it does what it's suppose to, you just have to make sure the batteries are good. Voting works when it is accountable by the public, if there is open and honest oversite.
But of course it will stop working when you have tyrants and there thugs keeping the count secret and lying about the results. That is what we need to change, not just thow the whole thing out. Just because things are bad now in our country, does that mean we should not go back to a republic as how it was, because it didn't work the first time?
