a thankful heart! It's hard to remember sometimes when we see all the encroachments on liberty and the move toward the 'ten thousand commandments' that Chesterton predicted. (Not to mention our own faults and foibles, this is often even a greater struggle for me.) When I remember how much I have been blessed with, often because of my trials, I realize just how much I really have to be thankful for. (It is harder to see what to be grateful for when you believe you are entitled to it all). Sometimes to disarm my self from ingratitude, I will answer the question, "How are you?" (If it is someone who understands my perspective) with "Better than I deserve."
on that note (pun intended) here is one of my favorite songs on the topic:
"Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern." ~~C.S. Lewis
Love won! Deliverance from Tyranny is on the way! Col. 2:13-15
