Christianity has become

The very thing Christ came to abolish, a religion. Jesus said He is the Truth and the Light. I also take that to mean that the Truth and the Light are the message of Jesus. The term Christian was first used as a derogatory term by early non believers to describe or call out the ones who got the message. This happens even today in the "truth" movement. Once people learn the truth about a subject that is unpopular to discuss, they are called a " conspiracy theorist". Jesus also said that those who believe might find themselves alone among their family and friends and that He would always be a true friend. Well, isn't that the case in the truth movement? It's at least comforting to be closer to the truth even in the face of unpopular denial. A religion is simply a search, and the message of Jesus is simply that the search is over if we seek to understand His message. The most applicable message I get from Him right now is from the only time I ever saw Him get mad. If we are His temple, this message is for us! When Jesus walked into the temple, he ran the merchants (corporations) out and overturned the tables of the money changers (bankers). I think this message says this is going to happen again publicly for all to see, but I also think He wants us to know the truth and to use our will to distance ourselves from the root of all evil. Hence He said, "be in this world, but not of this world". "World" is simply the governing or controlling influence over the land. It's no secret that money is the predominant controlling influence, and with a little bit of research, it's not hard to narrow down who controls the money. I still use the money, because I have to to be in the world, but I do so knowing this, while searching for better ways. Although it may be evil, I do my best not to use it for evil until I can find another way.
